Membership categories

Honorary membership

is open for persons who have attained national or international recognition by their contribution to the mapping and charting profession and have been selected or nominated by the Association to be honored.

Join
fellow Membership

(to be determined through nomination by the National Executive Council - NEC) is opened to Professional Members who have demonstrated ability to render outstanding services in the field of Cartography and have retained membership in the Association for at least ten successive years.

Professional Membership
is opened to practicing Cartographers or Geographers (with Cartography/GIS bias), who must have acquired their professional qualifications from recognised institutions, subject to approval by NCA Admissions Committee.
Join N15,000:00
AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP
is opened to members of allied professions or persons with qualifications or technological experience in their special pursuit which qualifies them to cooperate with members of NCA in the advancement of professional knowledge and practice of Cartography, and who might not otherwise qualify for other categories of membership.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
is opened to recent graduates of Universities and Polytechnics with Geography or Cartography/GIS bias and to practicing Cartographic Technicians. Other criteria for this category of membership shall be as determined by the Admissions Committee.

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP
is opened to any person pursuing a course of study on a full-time basis in an institution of higher learning recognised by the Association and leading to a career in the profession. After graduating they shall be eligible to apply for Associate Membership.

CORPORATE/SUSTAINING MEMBERSHIP
is opened to Institutions, companies and organisations among them manufacturers of cartographic equipment, map publishing houses and libraries, which are willing to assist financially in the work of the Association and to contribute to the progress and development of Cartography and mapping sciences.
